Gary Holstad, MS, LPC, CCADC

Director / Counselor

Gary graduated from Iowa State University with a Master of Science degree in Counseling. He has over 22 years of experience in the field, including work within the Iowa Department of Corrections and the Georgia Mental Health system. His therapeutic focus is sexual misbehavior, family violence intervention, marital/relationship conflict, stress management and men's issues. He is an approved DBHDD Clinical Evaluator, member of the Sex Offender Review Board, clinical member of ATSA, and member of LPCA. 

In addition to our qualified full-time clinical staff, we also are pleased to provide our clients with masters level, part-time therapists and interns, working under the direction and supervision of our Licensed Professional Counselors.

Christy Merrett, MS, LMSW

Counselor

Christy graduated from Florida State University with a Master of Science degree in Criminology and a Master of Social Work degree, specializing in clinical practice. She is licensed by the state of Georgia as an LMSW, and has been in the counseling profession for over six years. She employs techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to address specific behavioral problems and facilitate change. She is a clinical member of ATSA, and has served as an expert witness in multiple sexual offender cases.

Lisa Southerland, MS, LAPC

Counselor

Lisa graduated from North Georgia College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and earned her Master of Science degree from Liberty University, focusing on Professional Counseling. She is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, with a primary focus on  adult sexual offenders as well as victims of childhood sexual abuse. She has a passion for being  alongside her clients  in their journey toward change and well being. She is an active clinical member of ATSA, LPCA, and is a certified Prime Solutions Provider utilizing motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
